Bill lookups
When you search, your browser sends the reference number or customer ID and the U/R choice to our server. Our server sends them to the official PITC bill portal, receives your bill and passes it back to your browser. We do not save the number or the bill in any database or log file of our own. Responses are marked “no-store” so they are not cached.
To prevent abuse, our server keeps a temporary counter for each visitor, based on a one-way hash of the IP address, which expires after 10 minutes.
“Remember this number”
If you tick this box, the number is saved in your own browser’s local storage on your device so you can reopen your bill next month. It is never sent to us for storage. Untick the box or clear your browser data to remove it.
Information collected automatically
Like every website, our hosting server records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and performance. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. If we add analytics or advertising in future, this policy will be updated to describe them before they are enabled.
The bill you see
Your bill contains personal details such as name and address. It is shown only in your browser, inside a sandboxed frame. Anyone with your reference number can view your bill on the official portal too, so share it only with people you trust.
Children
This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their information.
