Fetching your bill from PITC…
This usually takes 3–8 seconds.
What is a MEPCO duplicate bill?
A duplicate bill is simply a fresh copy of your current electricity bill. It carries the same reference number, amounts, due date and barcode as the paper bill delivered to your door. MEPCO’s own FAQ notes that duplicate bills are available at its customer service centres; online, you get the same copy without the trip.
People usually need one when:
- the paper bill was lost, torn or soaked by rain;
- the bill reached a previous owner or tenant’s address;
- you pay for parents or a rented property in another city;
- a landlord, employer or office asks for a recent utility bill as proof of address.
WAPDA duplicate bill or MEPCO duplicate bill?
Many people still search for a “WAPDA duplicate bill” or simply a “duplicate electricity bill”. If your connection is in South Punjab, the bill is issued by MEPCO, so the MEPCO online duplicate bill on this page is the copy you need. The reference number on your old bill works here exactly as it does on the official PITC web bill.
A duplicate is always the current bill. If you need last month’s figures instead, the 12-month table on the bill covers them; see MEPCO bill history.
How to print a duplicate bill on a computer
- Open this page, choose Reference No or Customer ID, and type the digits.
- Press Search. The bill opens below the form.
- Press Print / Save PDF. In the print window, select your printer and A4 paper.
- Keep the scale at “Fit” or “Default” so the barcode prints clearly.
How to save the bill as a PDF on a phone
- Open the bill as above.
- Tap Print / Save PDF.
- Android (Chrome): in the printer list at the top, choose Save as PDF, then tap the PDF button. iPhone (Safari): tap Print, pinch outward on the preview, then share or save the PDF to Files.
- Send the PDF on WhatsApp or keep it for your records.
Tip: Tick “Remember this number on this device” before searching. Next month the duplicate bill is one tap away.
Can you pay with a duplicate bill?
Yes. Banks, post offices and franchise counters scan the barcode or type the reference number, so a clean printout works the same as the original. Mobile wallets and banking apps don’t need paper at all: they ask only for the 14-digit reference number. Recent bills also carry a Raast QR code you can scan with your bank app. See all options in MEPCO bill payment.
Pay before the due date to avoid the late payment surcharge printed on the bill.
Duplicate bill not opening? Common fixes
“No bill found”
Check you typed 14 digits for a reference number or 10 for a customer ID. If one fails, try the other number from an old bill.
Last month’s bill shows
The new bill appears only after it is issued. Look at the “Bill Month” and issue date at the top.
Printout cut off
Choose A4 paper and “Fit to page”. Avoid shrinking below 90% or the barcode may not scan.
Server busy
If PITC does not respond, stay on this page and try the search again after a moment.
Duplicate bill from a MEPCO office
If you can’t print at home, visit the customer service centre of your sub-division with your reference number or an old bill. Staff can print the duplicate for you. Bring your CNIC if you have lost every bill and need the reference number traced; see how to recover a lost reference number.
Need a tax certificate instead of a bill?
Sometimes the paper you actually need isn’t the bill. The official PITC bill page has a separate tab for the Certificate of Collection of Tax (section 235). Open your bill on bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill with the same reference number, switch to that tab and print it or save it as a PDF from your browser. What the tax lines on your bill mean is covered in taxes on your MEPCO bill.
What to check on your duplicate bill
- Bill month and due date: make sure it is the month you want to pay.
- Payable within due date: the amount to pay on time.
- Arrears: any unpaid amount from earlier months. If you already paid it, keep your receipt and contact the sub-division.
- Amount paid and payment date: shown once a payment is posted.
Every box is explained in how to read your MEPCO bill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the online duplicate MEPCO bill valid for bank payment?
Yes. It is the official bill from the PITC billing system with the same barcode and reference number, so banks and post offices accept a clear printout before the due date.
How can I download my MEPCO bill as a PDF?
Open the bill on this page, tap Print / Save PDF, and choose Save as PDF as the printer. On iPhone, open the print preview and share it to Files.
Can I get a duplicate bill without the reference number?
You can use the 10-digit customer ID instead. If both are lost, MEPCO can trace your reference number from your CNIC and address at the sub-division office or helpline.
Can I print an old month's bill?
The online system shows the current bill. Its bill history table lists the last 12 months of units, billed amounts and payments. For an exact copy of an older bill, ask your sub-division.
Is there any fee for a duplicate bill online?
No. Viewing, printing and saving your bill here is free.
Is a WAPDA duplicate bill the same as a MEPCO duplicate bill?
In South Punjab, yes. People often say WAPDA bill out of habit, but the bill for a connection in MEPCO's area is issued by MEPCO. Enter the reference number or customer ID from it on this page and you'll get the same official duplicate, ready to print.
Can I download my MEPCO bill on mobile without an app?
Yes. Open this page in your phone's browser, search with your reference number, tap Print / Save PDF and choose Save as PDF. The file stays on your phone, so you can share it on WhatsApp or print it later from any computer.
