MEPCO Load Shedding Schedule

Load shedding in MEPCO areas is managed feeder by feeder. The fastest way to know your timing is to find your feeder name on the bill and check the official feeder schedule.

MEPCO Load Shedding Schedule
Quick answer: Find your feeder name in the Consumer Detail box of your bill, then check PITC’s feeder-wise load shedding page (ccms.pitc.com.pk/FeederDetails) or MEPCO’s load shedding schedule page. Planned maintenance shutdowns are announced on MEPCO’s “Electricity Shutdown” page.

Step 1: find your feeder

Open your MEPCO bill. In the Consumer Detail box you will see Feeder (a feeder code followed by a name) and Sub Division. Note both; they decide your schedule.

Step 2: check the official schedule

  • Feeder-wise details: PITC’s CCMS feeder details page, linked from MEPCO’s website.
  • Load shedding schedule for consumers: MEPCO’s own schedule page.
  • Planned shutdowns: MEPCO’s Electricity Shutdown page lists maintenance shutdowns by area and time.

Why some feeders get more load shedding

Pakistan’s distribution companies, including MEPCO, generally schedule more load management on feeders with higher losses and lower recovery, and less on feeders with good payment records. Industrial feeders and urban feeders can follow different patterns. Schedules also change with demand, for example in peak summer.

Unscheduled outage?

If power is off outside the schedule, it is a fault, not load shedding. Report it on 118 or through CCMS with your reference number. See MEPCO complaint and helpline.

Reduce the impact

  • Run water motors and washing during supply hours.
  • Size your UPS for essentials only: fans, lights, router.
  • Consider rooftop solar; read net metering rules first.
